Dos Hombres introduces a relatively unique concept to the iPhone with the release of their app named Pen Pals.3 Apr 2010 We’re going in and reviewing as many iPad apps as possible—LIVE—right now, and updating throughout the day. Like the name suggests, Pen Pals hooks you up with a complete stranger from another part of the world (more than likely you’iFones.com brings the latest iPhone and iPad apps news to you from across the web, find Apple app news here.ll be paired up with someone from the USA) so you can converse awkwardly about life in your part of the world. I say awkwardly because the majority of the messages I recieved were from guys looking to score and underage girls who were incapable of holding an intelligent conversation. A few messages I got read: “a/s/l” and “hi…!!!!!!11!!”. I’ve not written too many iPhone app reviews recently for a number of reasons. this summer’s release of the 4.0 OS and something Apple calls the iPad A massive turn off if you’re the kind of person who wants to meet an interesting person and hold a decent conversation with said interesting person. I don’t blame the app though; just the people who use this app for stupid reasons

Tweetie is a client for the social networking website Twitter. Its mobile version runs on iPhone and iPod Touch, while its desktop version runs on Mac OS X. It is one of the few mobile clients that allow users to manage multiple accounts. Tweetie sports a “native” iPhone look and feel, tweetie ipod touch and aims to be lightweight and full-featured.The vast majority of the Twitter REST API is supported in Tweetie, and it also supports the new search API.Tweetie is the second most popular mobile app for Twitter followed by TwitterFon. Some similar applications include Twitterrific and Twinkle. The Mac OS X version of Tweetie has many of the same features as its portable sibling. It has a free ad supported version. The registered version costs $19.95. The beta of the mac version was leaked to the popular torrent site Demonoid a week before the official release.

I think that this is an app that is truly going to show how amazing and simple an app can be, I love it for the iPhone (Tweetie 2) and the Mac!

We’ve covered iPhone Twitter clients to death here on Download Squad, but we simply couldn’t help but post about Tweetie 2.0 which launched just yesterday.
